      NicKey Performance Upgrades

Most y'all already know this stuff, but I wanted to get this into my build thread.

After doing some research and talking with several people, I pulled the trigger last month on some major performance mods for Inferno. Several options were on the table as to who I might choose to do the work and after several emails and phone conversations, I felt really comfortable leaving my car in the hands of the folks at NicKey Chicago. Stefano and I talked about what my goals were and we went from there. I visited their shop/museum and even went for a ride in a Stage II ZL1 conversion. That ride was all I needed to move forward.

Here's a list of pretty much all the work performed. I think I have most of it on here:

      · Magnuson TVS2300 Supercharger including Rear Cog Overdrive, 3.4***8221; Pulley & Belt, Super Tensioner
·NicKey Stage II CAM Kit including Custom Length Push Rods, 3 Bolt CAM Gear, High Performance Valve Springs, Valve Locks & Seals
·L99 to LS3 Conversion Kit including LSA Head Gaskets, Head Bolts, Valley Cover Assembly, Lifters, Lifter Trays & Bolts, Crank Bolt, Timing Cover Assembly
·NicKey Stage II CNC Ported Heads
      ·ZL1 Dual Fuel Pump
      ·Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump
      ·Yank 3200 Torque Converter
      ·Driveshaft Shop 1000hp Axles
      ·Driveshaft Safety Loop
      ·ADM Transmission Cooler
      ·Rocker Trunions
      ·ZL1 Map Sensor
      ·RX Catch Can
·NicKey Custom Dyno Tune & Data Logger
      -ShowStopper Engine Covers

      Final Dyno Sheet:

I just want to say thanks to Stefano for working with me on getting the right combination of parts together. To Corey for taking the time needed and a great job on the tune. And lastly, it just wouldn't be a project without Pete taking part, so big thanks to Pete for the awesome engine covers. Inferno's now a beauty and a beast!

          A few minor changes done.

I finally got around to de-chroming the back end of Inferno and decided to go ahead and remove the red SS emblem as well. I really like it better without the chrome since I changed out the chrome rims. Don't know why I waited so long to do this. I also tinted the tail and backup lights. I had to get rid of the chrome license plate frame so I dug up this fancy NicKey frame I got last year from Josh which looks good with the black. Pictures aren't great but will have to do for now.

Also, a few months ago, I upgraded my door sill plates to some billet aluminum "SUPERCHARGED SS" plates. I purchased these from The Billet House and they are Ted Brock designs whom also did my Polished Hood Hinges. They match very well with the new Lingenfelter style Foot Pedals.

It looks so awesome! I wish they would have put our reverse lights in the rear valance instead of the bumper cover. I think that will be my 2015 project - moving the backup sensors and lights to the rear valance.

Everything looks awesome! I can't wait to see the car in person.

(More ideas to steal...((grins evilly and rubs hands together))

Seriously though, I was looking into all sorts of pedals. How do you like those? Any issues?

Oh, do those door sill plates stick on or are they screwed on? Can't tell from the picture.

If you like the '14 rear, it may be easier to get one of those.

Door sill plates are screwed in. A little nervous drilling holes but it worked out okay. These things are a work of art and heavy duty quality stuff.

I do like the pedals. A little tricky at first applying the brake and not giving it some gas at the same time but I'm used to it.

I need to score me some drag radials because I know it's useless on these Goodyear street tires.

Either way, the cost may be prohibitive. :-)
