A huge thank you for selling me you ZL1 motor mounts and installing them. You are certainly tenacious. Thanks for all of you time, help and insight yesterday. You are the best!
L99 to LS3 Conversion, Speed Inc Comp Cam, SLP LT Headers, Corsa Exhaust, Roto Fab CAI, FAST 102 Manifold, Nick Williams 102 TB, FAST Fuel Rails, Yank 3400, 3.91 Gear and TrueTrac, BMR Suspension, Foose Wheels, Heritage Grill
So its been awhile since I have updated, and you all have probably noticed i have been absent for awhile. It seemed like the camaro going boom was the start to a long stream of bad luck. But now thats all behind me we are moving forward!
I have made my final decision on how i am building the motor as I have seen this setup proven over on Camaro5. So thats good enough for me haha. anyways, here is the list
*stock block
*stock crank
*stock heads
*Weisco coated pistons 4.07 bore -11cc dish
*callie compstart I-beam rods
*clevite coated bearings
*ARP studs all around
*LS9 head gaskets
*Custom turbo cam - its a secret! lol
*all valvetrain upgrades
*Pfadt motor mounts
*custom McLeod RXT twin disk clutch- modified to handle 1500hp
*ID1000 injectors
*squash return style fuel system -8an feed -6an return- dual 450lph pumps
*ZL1 rear end conversion
and i am sure i missed a few things so chime in so i can update haha. Yes i understand this isnt the "ideal" build. Yes i could go with a stroker, or a 9" rear end. But there is no need because everything here fits what i am trying to reach.
i am hoping to get a dyno sheet with 1000whp @ 20psi of boost. although i will only run 18psi at the track. Just as bragging rights and proving the stock block, crank, and heads can produce that power. So we will see if i am right or wrong. But regardless, she will be faster when im done. Thats all that matters
:-)
and i am completely open to any type of sponsorship, donation, agreement, etc... so please let me know if you are interested in helping out
Hey bud, check out Colorado speed. They have 10% off wiseco pistons. Ive been searching for pistons too. They are like 710.00 for -15cc's shipped. Im in the same boat as you and I will be crossing over to the darkside and going BOOOOST. Precision 80mm to be exact lol

BOOOOST FTW!!!!! haha thats awesome. But you didnt blow your motor did you???
And good looking out. I think I have called/emailed a dozen places. $710 is not bad at all. The lowest i have found was like $780.
I did speak to Texas-Speed today. They are possibly hooking it up. They said they will take my crank and block as a core and credit it toward a short block for me built to handle 1500hp :-). and the price they gave me was very very fair. So far they are winning because all i would have to do is install the motor and go. But still hunting around.
