To tint or not to tint?

Hey gang, I'm thinking about tinting the windows on my 2015 but I know absolutely nothing. Any thoughts?

Most of us have done it. I have heard of some areas in Chi-town where they like to ticket you for tint, so guess it depends on where you plan to spend most of your time. My nephew was ticketed for it on his Mazda when it was parked in the Chicago State University area. I don't live up there so maybe some others will chime in on where the locations are. Looks like you live in Plainfield, haven't heard any issues there. Just stay with the Illinois percentage limit and keep documentation in your glove box incase you're questioned. That's what I've done.

Aesthetic wise....tint will look great on your car! I'm sure some people can give you installer suggestions too if you want that.

I live in Chicago and it really depends on the cop whether they ticket or not. I have always had 35% on all windows on my cars (legal limit) but I have friends that have 20% or even 5% all over that have never been pulled over. If you're ever worried just roll the windows down real quick lol

I'll be the one nay-sayer. I think I'm in the vast minority. I don't like applied tint. If the actual glass was tinted (i.e. SUV windows), I would be all for it; but of course that would be cost prohibitive.
