i am hoping someone can help me out here i just installed the 3157 LED Sequential Taillight Kit Plug & Play. here is the issue when i step on the brake i get static in the radio pretty bad. also when i put on my hazard lights the static will go in and out. same thing when i put my blinker on. i am fine when i use xm or music onn my usb stick. i shaved one of the black wires to tryed to ground it and no luck. i have never ever heard of this before. i am hoping someone can shed some light on this.

Whose kit is that? Have you contacted the supplier?

Hmm. Not seen that one before.

Both left and right turn signals (ignoring hazards) result in the noise?

Note that you should not get the car wet after installing that kit. No seal on the connection outside of the tail lamp.

Okay so here is a case of a little knowledge being dangerous but I did some reading after I read your post. it appears you have some energy leakage somewhere. It may be a wire, a resistor or a capacitor . It is interfering with the radio Signal only obviously, so that tells me that it also may be a byproduct of some Oscillation issues .
oh and if they didn't come with a Flux Capacitor, I would send them back, LOL

If they needed resistors, you would see a bulb-out fault on the DIC.

It could be a bad set of parts, or, just a bad design. Clearly, there are FCC violations going on with what you have now.

I would contact the supplier on Tuesday and ask about it. Maybe email them today to see if anyone is watching that account.

Take lots of photos, remove the harness, and contact the distributor Tuesday.

Well I thought most of those units came with built in resistors, my thoughts were that ypu may have got one that may Not be up to par and interfering with your radio signal. If I were you, I would put it back to stock lights for three weeks and make sure you didn't do any other damage before you go trying a different set out.
