Well, Showstoppper can do it, Lola had hers done too, or there is a powder coater place down by my in Yorkville.

Runs about 100-120 per wheel, maybe less if it's someone used them in the past.

IIRC, Lola paid $80 per wheel for powder coat.

Modern Muscle recommended a great lil paint shop just up the road from them called Higher Xpectations. They did a perfect job on a real bad scratch I put on the rear bumper when I scraped a post next to my house. While I was there they suggested I paint my wheels black as well. The offer was for 150 per wheel but I'm sure you could negotiate them down. They also will mix a lil paint and smoke any lights or reflectors to any shade you want. Rick Vento runs the place and is a real laid back guy. I chose them immediately when I remembered the awesome sportbike they had in Modern Muscle that was all painted up.

On a side note. I am also still contemplating if I want to paint my stock wheels black on my black SS. I wonder how the black on black would look. Anyone have some pics I can check out?

With this particular application I would get them powder coated. It will be more durable and cheaper than any paint shop. Plus powder coating is electrically charged. Meaning the paint can get into all of the tiny little spots better than traditional paint. Truse me. I am a paint guy. I wouldn't misdirect you.

Thanks for the advice. I did a lil more research and powdercoating is definitely the way to go for that application. I found Lola's pic of her wheels and I like them but not sure if I'm digging the black on black from that pic. It's kind of blurry.

Show, do you have an approximate price as to how much it costs to have the wheels done? I think Lola got hers for 80 a wheel.

Hmmmm, maybe that place modern muscle recommends can paint my back panel flat black. I've been looking for a place to do that.

I will also say that Rick had his brother drop me off at my house and they returned the car to me within 24 hours. That included removing the rear bumper, fixing the 1sqft scraped area, re-clearcoating the bumper and slapping it back on.
