  • Headlights to halos

Hey..I'm looking to get some halos put into my 2012 non-rs. I've been reading..hours and hours about angel eyes, jdp, baking stock lights in the oven, etc.. Etc.. It all sounds a little overwhelming. Well I contacted someone on Camaro5 and ask them.. The company to told he would send me the whole assembly with the amber and white halos like I wanted and the price was kind ah crazy.. What should I do? I think I could remove the front fascia but baking the lights..yeah no not for me. Can any one point me in the right direction of the best way to upgrade the headlights/possible the fog lights.. I'll share the price the company is charging if that's okay? Maybe someone willing to help?

it really depends on how you want to do it. If you watch ebay and or Camaro5 closely, you should be able to score a set of stock RS headlights. -you may get a better deal buying them individually, etc. Honestly, that is where I would start. Just takes an adapter harness to get them plugged in and operational

If you're looking for other halo colors, after that, there are a few vendors, including our very own SJMautoprod that sell the RGB color changing halo kits. They are all able to be done without baking or disassembling the headlights.

Thanks for reply... Honesty I'm not sure or know what's best. I would like amber and white. I do know I don't want to bake /take apart headlights myself.
The RS stock lights can be from any year camaro? The harness.. Does SJM or showstopper sell either of them?

Yeah, the RS lights are not year specific. Yes, indeed, SJM does sell the harness.

That's why I was saying that you will have to watch closely/carefully. You can sometimes find them for less.

Looks like a member/vendor on Camaro5 is selling refurbished pairs for $650 shipped - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=269450

With the harness can you operate the fog lights independently?
I had a cousin wire my fog lights thru a relay switch. I added a rocker switch into my console. I can control the fogs with this rocker switch. Now the fogs can be on with the Halo lights or off if I don't want them on.

Just watch ebay for stock RS lamps. The first one I found was $180. I got a bit tired of waiting for the second one and paid $250 for it.
