  • Custom Painted Underhcarriage

Lawdog recently came to us wanting something to put his car over the top. We have been talking about it for months. He wanted to paint the undercarriage of the car. Reason being is that the paint under the car is very poor quality from the factory. I tried talking him out of it due to the fact that i thought he would be spending more time cleaning the undercarriage than driving the car and enjoying it. So he finally talked me into it and here she is. We prepped the entire bottom side of the car to paint it and while we were at it we painted the mufflers and had some emblems airbrushed.

Here are a couple of before shots. As you can see most of the e-coat is showing through the yellow paint.

A base coat of white sealer.

And there you have it. A yellow undercarriage. Glad i am not the guy who has to maintain it.

And a short video. This really gives you a idea of the final outcome. Please excuse the backround noise. I am not a good video editor.

I agree with the mufflers. Those stock mufflers are an eyesore. The rest is just personal preference. Looks good.

The first thing that had to go on my car was those HUGE mufflers. These painted black look so much better. I saw Bill's car at the WOW show and was very impressed that the underneath was painted. It really looks good, great job, Pete.

I wonder how it feels to have better paint under the car than on top? I'm not impressed with the paint on these Camaro's. But, we all know that and it's been beat to death already.

I'm wondering what kind of wax Bill is going to use underneath the car? Something with Titanium I hope. JK

It's like the cell phone business or those one cup coffee makers, Petes going to make the residual $$ on me hiring his rack and his employee to help keep it clean one day a month. Already blocking one day a month out in my schedule for the Spring and summer to drop it off each month for a cleaning. LOL

I am very happy with the way it came out, much better then I ever had in mind. Pete went above and beyond on this one. just watching the video today for the first time and I'm like WOW, I actually went out to the garage to look at it again. LOL

Shit kicker will be if he still gets a 14.95 for undercarriage at the car shows.

YeH probably from some of those judges that have mustangs, talk about a conflict of interest letting mustang owners be a judge of Camaros at a car show, LOL
