Having problems with my lower street scene grille..Ducts wont stay mounted

My buddy installed it 2-3 months ago before i stored it in garage..and just noticed that both ducts is popping off from top...i tried to apply pressure to it so it stays in place but it just keeps popping off...Any ideas??? Should I just get more 3m tape and apply it on top of the old 3m tape? And my buddy did clean the area and everything..just dunno why it wont stay in place..ugh..the bottom parts is on pretty good so its not like its going to pop off while im driving..just looks tacky as sh!t

are they just held in with the grey 3m tape? if so, it's possible that it' not quite thick enough. If you can, I'd remove the top piece that isn't holding, and apply 2 new strips, one on top of the other.

no it came with 3m tape...can i apply glue on the 3m tape on there already?? If so what type would hold it in place?

Sounds like a messy attempt, no ?. will be hard to not see the glue on the edges, no?
Why dont you remove it, scrape the 3m off and reapply new 3m but go double thick in the area where you have a gap. that may be a more permanent neater solution, . So long as there is actually room for two layers of the 3m.

If you dont like 3m, I have found that liquid nails silicone adhesive ( you can find it in small tubes at home depot) works great in all temps for outdoor use and you will be able to remove easier at a later date if necessary, but it does have a 24-48 hour dry set time.

Goo gone and a lot of hard work , little by little it will come off. Use some fishing line to remove it. It will slice most of it off if you pull it down close to the paint. Then goo gone to clean the rest.
