I'm pretty sure there is a local detail shop out in Lakemoore near you since your in McHenry, can't remember the name of it but I stopped there once when I went to Volo, they do good work.

Was the shop on rt 120 and darrell? There used to be one there but its gone now.

I use Ziebart in Franklin Park. They have this process called the Diamond Gloss. Its freaking awesome. If you go on their website it explains the process in detail & I believe they have other locations

I see you have black also.
I notice swirl marks and surface scratches on sunny days and I need to get this fixed. Its goin in to the dealer tomorrow to get some miner stuff fixed and im thinking they are the cause of the swirl marks. I will see how it looks when I get it back.
Do you know the cost and how long they need the car?

Black takes a lot of work but when its clean it shines. It makes me laugh when its a day or 2 dirty & people still say it looks shiney & clean. They run specials so I don't know the going rate-it isn't cheap(nothing worth while is). Its probably around $200 & $100 yearly to reapply. It takes about 4 hours. Did you read about the process? Also, they warranty the job. I must have had bird crap on the car & it left a residue. I just brought it back to them & they fixed it up. Nice right? Who else offers a warranty?

I read about it and it sounds great. I would spend more than that on a polisher and good wax anyway and I couldnt do anything about it until spring. There is one in Arlington Heights and I will probably go there when I get the car back. The warranty is a great bonus too.
