Overhead Console Down Light

When the Camaro was in the shop, they gave me an Equinox to drive. It had a down-light in the overhead console which illuminated the console below nicely. I did some digging, got that part, and installed it in the Camaro.

Just an eighth-inch hole for the light to shine through worked well, and, keeps you from seeing the LED itself. A bit of hot glue to hold it in place was all that is needed. I just tapped into the power wires that are up there for the Air-Bag-Disabled indicator light.

Cool mod. A lot of foreign cars have been doing this for awhile. It's about time American cars did the same. At least some of them.

FYI, Chevy "orange" is actually red.
