Clear Bra

Ok I have had my car no for about two months and it seems that Chevy has some really soft paint, because every time that I turn around there is a new rock chip. I am making the decision to get a clear bra over the entire front bumper. Does anyone have this done and how noticeable is it?

the ones i saw at shelbyfest were great! couldnt see them at all... only problem is they were done in st louis missouri

My boyfriend (Wicked10) and I have it on our Camaro... I think it looks great! You can't even tell it's there and it definitely helps! You should shoot him a pm... He can tell you more about where he got it done and whatnot... Hope this helps!

In a previous PM from Showstopper, this is the guy he mentions that does it. He stated he doesn't do it himself.

Had mine done in Springfield, Il. took it to the LaHarpe car show and had to tell people it was there! Gives great peace of mind especially if you drive it on road trips.

I had mine put on immediately. You will not regret doing it. It is not too noticeable. It will save you the grief of chips on the front end. Talk to Pete (Showstopper) he will set you up.

Possibly, It depends how well you touched them up. I use the Langka paint Chip Repair Kit. works well.

I have it on my car. Had it done at the dealer. It has helpped me and you can't see it.

Thanks to Showstopper to setting me up with his guy. I'm having the entire front bumper, rockers, and the rear bumper behind the rear wheels done this Wednesday. I can't wait to not see it, and all the rock/paint chips anymore.

Sorry it has taken so long but I wanted to wait for a nice day that wasn't so cloudy. Except for a few seams it is absolutely perfect. I have already seen a spot where a big rock would have made a rater big rock chip. Best part is that after I left it in the sun today and it softened up the bra enough to make it reform to the bumper. As for the install it went great rick from Body Skins was great. He came out early on Wednesday morning to Show Car Details house. He offered it because it had a great lighting and was heated, as last week was cold and dark. He had the car done in about three hours, and he filled out my 3M warranty card which is good for five years. I am very happy with the results and would recommend him to anyone. Once again than you Showstopper for recommending him in the first place.

I'm getting my Camaro and Ford Edge done at my house next Tuesday. I called about 5 different installers, including the one mentioned above and found a lower price using the same 3M materials. The guy I am going with does a mobile service which is great since I'm an hour away from everyone else. I'll let you know after Tuesday how good of a job he does. I'm going with a newer product than 3M's though, it's called Xpel Ultimate. Carries a 7 year warranty for material and labor. 3M hasn't updated its material in 5 years, so thought I'd see if the newer product performs better against staining and discoloring.

Nice. The best decision you made was putting it on the rear bumper where you did. That is going to save a lot of headaches.

Got to have my bumper repainted by Pete then I got to have this done on it and on the side mirrors, it piss me off to see my front bumper every time I wash the car.
