alright so i finally receive my engine caps in polished chrome and after installing, naturally fingerprints are left behind,so i used some chrome polish on them to remove the fingerprints and it ended up giving it a haze look and fine scratches!!!!!!mother @#$!!! does anybody know of any product out there that is able to polish and remove these little scratches..."bought meguirs chrome polish"after the fact

try neverdull, you can buy it in autozone or advance auto, but you may be sol, if they are alum and not chrome plated they will need to be repolished with a highspeed machine shop buffing wheel, the kind that sits on a staionary pedastel and you hold the piece in your hand very carefully and use a special compound, I use to polish raw aluminum to a mirror finish in my machine shop before I became a lawyer. It can be done with the right equipement and the right compund, you can get them to look like a mirror, but unless you clear coat them, they will have to be redone every once in awhile.
