    Since LED's don't draw much power, the system thinks the bulbs are out. It looks for, IIRC, about 2A of draw. This means that the resistors just sit there and dissipate ~26 watts.

      ahhhhhh, that makes sense... but also seems like a hassle...

      • Grr. Finally got around to installing the load resistors and found that the BCM still thought the bulb was out. :bulgy-eyes: Lucky I only did one to start.

        I'll get a current reading on the bulb to see what's up.

          • Well, I discovered that the light that failed yesterday was the very first one that I assembled. I'm glad as I know what the problem was. The others are just fine so far.

                        • Wow, that seems so efficient. LOL Kinda defeats one of the purposes of LEDs, right? I would think there's a way to disable that checking feature in the PCM or something?
