  • Redline tires

I don't know if anyone has been looking for these but Redline tires are now available.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

yes I saw these last year and I was alll set to order them. I really wanted them and as I have seen them in person, and they look great, the only thing I was concerned about was the process of how they put the stripe on. I really finicky about tire balance and I didnt know if I would be happy with any balancing problems cause from their ad it seems like they rough the tire up a bit on the sidewall to resurface it with the stripe, Im not sure about how all that works and I meant to ask Gman but never got around to it.

Gman can expound on it, I am sure, but a competent tire man (Gman of course) should be able to balance these out no problem. There's going to be a fraction bit more weight on the outside edge of the tire, which will indeed need a counter on the rim. The computerized wizardry available to today's tire shops should be able to handle it no problem. It does seem a bit odd to manufacture the tires this way, but the principles behind it do make sense, and where there's a buyer, there will be somebody to come up with a product for them to buy.

That being said, I would like to see these up close to see how the finished product looks, if you can really tell that it's an add-on, and from how far away can it be seen. - I wouldn't really see their process as a bad thing safety wise, the amount that they can rough up the sidewall is definitely no worse than someone rubbing a curb with the tire.

Red lines are as old as the day is long. No way it can be a problem.

Oh they look great and you can't tell at all that it's added on. The company is top notch from what I hear.

My question is how do the Invo's compare to the PZero's? The recommended psi is 50 for these tires so how is the ride? Do they stick and do they hold up well? Does anyone have these?

But I think that the "original" red-line tires were made with the rubber in the tire, like current white wall tires are. (theres a layer of white rubber substance in the side of the tire, with a thin black layer on top of it all, accept where its molded to be white) The add-in process which this company uses is different.

Arent the invo's what MyWorld just picked up to use on his car?

Yes MyWorld did get the Invos. People seem to like the Invos over the Pzeros from what I have read on C5. I would have put Invos on my car had I not decided I'm going to use my car as DD starting this year so I need all seasons.
