    Painted Calipers

    I painted my calipers this week on my 2lt. Turned out terrific. Used dupli-color caliper paint. Taped off around the caliper and brushed on 3 coats to each caliper. All in, about a 2 hour process to paint all 4 calipers (mainly that long because I only have 2 jack stands, so had to do the fronts, then let them dry and do the backs after putting the tires back on the front).

        I saw a 4th Gen. guy at the S. Elgin Cruise Night who polished his calipers to a high-shine -- never seen anyone do it before -- looked really sharp -- I'd say better than painted... Forgot to snap a pic...

          Looks good! Did your front calipers have any coating from the factory? Mine look like they have silver/chrome finish, though I suppose it could be just that they're brand new, but the rears don't have the same finish.

            I didn't notice any finish on them, they both looked the same to me. Its probably because yours is new. They'll start to dis-color some soon and lose that silver finish.

              Nice job, looks good. My G2 paint comes in this week. (silver)
              I'm gonna just get 2 more stands cuz I'm kinda lazy. Ha
